CanWNT
The Canadians got their revenge on Brazil by winning 2-0 in the second leg of their friendlies. In a replica of the last Jamaica game, Ashley Lawrence crossed the ball in to Jordyn Huitema, who headed it home to give Canada the win. Cloé Lacasse later flicked the ball on to Deanne Rose, who was able to score her first goal for Canada since April 2021.

Stats of note:
– Lawrence’s assist was her 17th for country, tying her for 6th all-time assists with Janine Beckie.
– Sabrina D’Angelo is now tied for 6th most clean sheets with Carla Chin (8).
Australia
Lysianne Proulx served in net for Melbourne City in a 2-2 draw with Western United.
Denmark
Emma Regan played the full match for HB Køge in a 2-0 loss against Brøndby.
England
Chelsea throttled Aston Villa 6-0, a win that secured them top standing in the WSL at the end of the weekend. Jessie Fleming played the entire match, and earned an assist on Lawrence’s first goal in Chelsea colours. Kadeish Buchanan entered the match in the 78th minute. Adriana Leon did not feature for Aston Villa, despite their inability to score against the Blues.

Arsenal managed to win 2-1 over Manchester City, helping them in the WSL standings. Cloé Lacasse started and played 60 minutes, whilst Sabrina D’Angelo served as backup keeper. Leicester City lost 2-1 against Liverpool; Deanne Rose came off the bench in the 69th minute. Shelina Zadorsky was once again left out of Tottenham’s matchday squad as they drew Everton 1-1. Jayde Riviere had a solid outing for Manchester United, but they drew 2-2 with Brighton.

France
Marie Levassuer played the full 90 for Montpellier in a 0-0 draw with Lille. Vanessa Gilles and Lyon throttled Paris FC 6-1, where Gilles played the full match.
Italy
There was a Canadian clash as Evelyne Viens and Roma battled fellow title contenders Julia Grosso and Juventus. Both Canadians managed to get on the score sheet, with each scoring a goal. It was Viens and Roma who came out on top, however, with a 3-1 win, and the current top spot in the league.

NCAA
Ella Ottey played the full 90 for Wisconsin in their semi-final win against Nebraska. They won 3-1. Unfortunately, Wisconsin fell 1-0 to the University of Iowa in the Big Ten Championship; Ottey featured for the full ninety in that match, as well. Jade Rose had an assist for Harvard in their 4-2 win against Princeton, advancing them to the Ivy League Cup finals, where they won 3-0 against Columbia. J. Rose played the full match in the final. Simi Awujo played the full match for USC in a 4-2 loss against UCLA to close out their regular season. Next up for these teams is the NCAA Championship.

Portugal
Olivia Smith came on for a cameo in the 76th minute for Sporting CP in their 4-2 win over Marítímo in the Taça da Liga. Marie Alidou had quite the outing for Benfica in their Taça da Liga matchup against Ouriense: she scored two goals for her club in their 5-0 win.
Sweden
Sura Yekka came off the bench in the 78th minute for Vittsö in a 1-0 win over IFK Norrköping. Clarissa Larisey, whilst back training on grass, was not deemed fit enough to make BK Häcken’s squad as they lost 3-2 to Hammarby IF.
USA
The two NWSL semi-finals took place this weekend. The first match-up was between Gotham FC and Portland Thorns. It took 120 minutes for Gotham to be declared the winner in a 1-0 win over the Thorns, denying PDX a second NWSL Championship in as many years. Christine Sinclair entered the match in the 116th minute.

The other semi-final was a Canadian face-off between Kailen Sheridan and the San Diego Wave, and Quinn, Jordyn Huitema and the OL Reign. The Reign won 1-0 over the Wave; Sheridan served in net for the Wave, whilst Huitema and Quinn played 78 and 8 minutes for the Reign, respectively. Next, Huitema and Quinn will look to win the NWSL Championship as they take on Gotham on the 11th.
