Lysianne Proulx was in net for Melbourne City as they won 4-3 against the Western Sydney Wanderers. 

Denmark

Emma Regan started the match for HB Køge as they won 1-0 over Farum.

England

Adriana Leon started for Aston Villa in their League Cup match against Sheffield United. In 61 minutes, Leon had 2 assists in their 5-0 win. Jayde Riviere also had a big League Cup match for Manchester United, also earning two assists in their 7-0 win over Everton. Sabrina D’Angelo earned the start for Arsenal in their League Cup match against Bristol City, playing the full match in a 3-1 win. Cloé Lacasse entered in the 63rd minute in that match.

In regular WSL play, Riviere played the full match for Manchester United in their 5-0 win over West Ham. Shelina Zadorsky made her way back on to Tottenham’s bench, but was an unused substitute in their 1-1 draw with Liverpool. Jessie Fleming scored the gamewinner for Chelsea in their 3-0 win over Everton; Kadeisha Buchanan and Ashley Lawerence were unused substitutes for the Blues.

Leon started for Aston Villa as they took on Bristol City in a foot-of-the-table battle. Aston Villa earned their first WSL win of the season with a 2-0 victory. Finally, there was a Canadian battle as Leicester City took on Arsenal. Deanne Rose played the first half for Leicester City; she still appears to be managing minutes in her return from injury. For Arsenal, Lacasse earned the start and kicked off Arsenal’s 6-2 comeback victory: she scored their first goal and earned an assist on another. D’Angelo served as backup keeper in the Gunners’ second fixture of the week. 

France

Vanessa Gilles and Marie Levasseur faced off as Lyon took on Montpellier. Gilles was an unused substitute, whereas Levasseur played 80 minutes. Lyon won 5-0—three of which were own goals courtesy of the Montpellier defense. 

Italy

Evelyne Viens was rested for Roma in their 6-0 win against Cesena in the Italian Women’s Cup. In regular Serie A play, Viens returned to the starting line-up for Roma in their 6-0 win against Napoli. Viens scored once again in her 58 minutes of play. Julia Grosso played the full match for Juventus in their 3-0 win over Como.

NCAA

The NCAA Championship kicked off this past weekend. USC narrowly made it through the first round as they won 1-0 against Grand Canyon. Simi Awujo played the full match for USC. Ella Ottey also earned the start for her university, Wisconsin, as they beat Milwaukee 2-0 to advance to the second round. Finally, Jade Rose captained Harvard to victory as they beat Maine 3-0. 

Portugal

Marie Alidou made a substitute appearance for Benfica in their 4-0 win over Damaiense. Olivia Smith had a player-of-the-match appearance for Sporting CP in their 3-0 win over Albergaria. In 85 minutes, Smith had two goals and one assist. 

Sweden

Clarissa Larisey made her return from injury when she entered in the 73rd minute for BK Häcken in their Svenska Cupen match against Alingsås. Larisey marked the occasion with a bang, earning one assist in her team’s 5-0 win. In BK Häcken’s last match of the season, Larisey made a 12-minute cameo. Larisey and BK Häcken won 4-0, which sealed second-place in the league and qualified them for the 2024-2025 UWCL Qualifiers. However, they’re not done quite yet, as BK Häcken will play in the UWCL group stages this upcoming week. Sura Yekka remained on the bench for Vittsjö’s last match of the season. With a 2-0 win, Vittsjö finished fifth in the Damallsvenskan table for 2023.

USA

Two Canadians featured in the NWSL Championship Final. Jordyn Huitema earned the start for the Reign against Gotham and Quinn featured off the bench. Reign struggled to control play for much of the match and, unfortunately for the Canadians, they lost 2-1 to Gotham.
