The first leg of the Coppa Italia quarter finals took place this week. Eveylne Viens and Roma were in action on Tuesday while Julia Grosso and Juventus played on Wednesday. Evelyne Viens and Roma fell 0-2 to Napoli while Julia Grosso and Juventus defeated Sampodria 4-0. Viens played the full 90 for Roma while Grosso entered in the 66th minute.

Then for league play, on Saturday, Evelyne Viens played the full 90 in another 0-2 defeat, this time to Inter. On Sunday, Julia Grosso also had the full 90 for Juventus in their 1-0 win.
Down in the A-League, Lysianne Proulx was in net for Melbourne City’s 2-1 win against Wellington Phoenix. Melbourne City remains on top of the table, with a difference of seven points between them and the second-place team.

In the fourth round of the Taça da Portugal de Futebol Feminino, Olivia Smith played 65 minutes for Sporting CP while Marie Alidou played 75 minutes for Benfica. Smith had a goal and earned an assist in Sporting’s 8-0 win against Albergaria. Alidou also had a goal and an assist for Benfica in their 6-0 win.

After withdrawing from the NWSL College Draft, we had confirmation on Melissa Dagenais signing with Damalense this week. While no official announcement has been made, Dagenais was in net for Damalense on Sunday. Damalense won 4-1, with the lone goal against coming from a penalty kick.

There were two Canadian Clashes in the WSL this week. Adriana Leon and Aston Villa faced off against Deanne Rose and Leicester City. Leon had the start and was subbed off just after the 80th minute while Rose came on for the second half. Aston Villa defeated Leicester City 1-0.
In the second Canadian Clash, Chelsea defeated Manchester United 3-1. Ashley Lawrence and Kadeisha Buchanan both had the start, while Jessie Fleming was not available for Chelsea. Buchanan played 77 minutes, Lawrence played the entire game and Jayde Riviere played the entire game for United.

Per FAWSL loan rules, Shelina Zadorsky was unavailable for West Ham in their game against the Tottenham Hotspurs. The Spurs defeated West Ham 4-3.
Latifah Abdu was not available for Dijon’s game against Lille on Saturday. Dijon drew Lille 2-2.

Vanessa Gilles played the full 90 for Lyon in their game against Montpellier. Gilles, doing what she does best, scored a header to open the scoring. Lyon won the game 2-1.
