England

Arsenal played London City Lionesses in the rescheduled quarter-final of the League Cup. Sabrina D’Angelo served as backup keeper, and Cloé Lacasse earned the start. Lacasse scored two goals for Arsenal in their 4-0 win.

In regular WSL play, Chelsea lost a top of the table clash against Manchester City in a 1-0 loss. Ashley Lawrence played 72 minutes and Kadeisha Buchanan was an unused substitute. Both D’Angelo and Lacasse earned the start for Arsenal in an important match against Manchester United. Jayde Riviere was unavailable for Manchester United due to her injury that has seen her removed from Canada’s W Gold Cup squad. Lacasse scored one goal for Arsenal as they won 3-1. Shelina Zadorsky played the full match for West Ham in their 2-0 loss to Everton. Aston Villa won 2-1 over Tottenham, with Adriana Leon starting and scoring the first of Aston Villa’s goals. Rounding out the weekend, Deanne Rose entered in the 70th minute for Leicester City in their 5-2 win over Bristol City. 

France

Vanessa Gilles played the full quarter-final in the Coupe de France Féminine for Lyon. Lyon won 9-2 over Montauban.

Italy

Roma played in two Serie A matches this week, winning both. Evelyne Viens earned the start in each: a 3-0 win over Sassuolo, and a 1-0 win over Fiorentina.

Juventus also played two matches this week. Julia Grosso played 84 minutes for Juventus in their 2-0 win over Internazionale. Grosso played the full match and scored a goal for Juventus in their 4-1 win over Napoli. 

Portugal

The second leg of the Taça da Liga Feminina semi-final took place this week. Marie Alidou started for Benfica in their 2-2 draw with Valadares; they progressed to the final on aggregate. Olivia Smith also earned the start for Sporting CP in their semi-final against Racing Almada, playing 76 minutes in their 1-0 win. Sporting also progressed to the final, setting up a Canadian clash in the final to be played later this season.

In the Liga BPI, Melissa Dagenais started for Damaiense in a 2-1 win over Famalicão. Benfica returned to winning ways, with Alidou scoring two goals in 58 minutes for Benfica in their 6-1 win over Ouriense. Smith once again earned the start for Sporting CP against Racing Almada, but unlike earlier in the week, Sporting CP lost 1-0.
