Canada – League 1
In their mid-week match in League 1 BC, Jeneva Hernandez-Gray played the full match for the Vancouver Whitecaps in a 2-0 win over Burnaby FC. In their second match of the week, Hernandez-Gray entered in the 67th minute in her club’s 5-0 win over Rivers FC. Over in League 1 Ontario, Annabelle Chukwu played the second half for NDC Ontario in their 2-0 win over North Toronto.
England – WSL
In their penultimate match of the season, Chelsea played Tottenham, needing a win to draw even with Manchester City on points. Chelsea won by a narrow margin of 1-0. Ashley Lawrence started and played 70 minutes, and Kadeisha Buchanan was an unused substitute.
Then, over the weekend, the final matches of the FA WSL 2023/2024 season were played. Sabrina D’Angelo played in net for Arsenal and earned the clean sheet in a 5-0 win over Brighton—a wonderful way to end her time there as the club announced she would be leaving at the end of the season. Cloé Lacasse was suspended due to yellow card accumulation and was not in the match-day squad.

Deanne Rose was also not in Leicester City’s squad; Leicester City lost 4-0 to Liverpool. Shelina Zadorsky was also unavailable for West Ham in a 3-1 loss to Tottenham.
Adriana Leon appeared off the bench in the 69th minute for Aston Villa in a 2-1 loss to Manchester City. That narrow win opened the door for Chelsea, who, with a thorough 6-0 routing of Manchester United, to win the league on goal differential. Buchanan was once again kept on the bench, and Lawrence entered in the 72nd minute. For Manchester United, Jayde Riviere started and played 77 minutes.

France – Div 1
In a tale as old as time, Lyon and PSG faced off in the Div 1 final for the 2023-2024 season. Vanessa Gilles played the full match for Lyon, who managed to stave off PSG and win 2-1. Gilles and Lyon now go into their UWCL final as champions of France.

Italy – Serie A
The final matches of the 2023/2024 season were played. Julia Grosso, long rumoured to be leaving Juventus, was not in their match-day squad. Juventus ended their season on a high, winning 3-2 over Sassuolo. Already knowing that they were the league champions, Roma looked to end their season on a high note. Évelyne Viens entered for the second half, notching one goal and one assist in her team’s 5-0 win over Fiorentina. Viens was later named the league’s top goalscorer for the season with 13 league goals scored. Roma still has one match more to play—once again against Fiorentina—in the Italian Women’s Cup next weekend.
Portugal – Taça de Portugal de Futebol Feminino
Marie Alidou started for Benfica in the Taça de Portugal cup final. She played 85 minutes and scored her team’s first goal. Benfica went on to win 4-1 over Racing Almada.

Sweden – Damallsvenskan
Clarissa Larisey once again earned the start for BK Häcken, playing 69 minutes in a 2-1 win over AIK.
USA – NWSL
The first NWSL match of the week to feature Canadians was a Canadian Clash as the Houston Dash hosted the Portland Thorns. The Thorns managed to extend their winning streak to six games with a 2-0 win over the Dash. Allysha Chapman remained on maternity leave and Sophie Schmidt played 76 minutes for Houston. For Portland, Janine Beckie earned the start and an assist in 69 minutes of play. Jessie Fleming and Christine Sinclair made appearances off the bench, subbing in in the 69th and 60th minutes of play, respectively.

The North Carolina Courage won 1-0 over the Utah Royals. Sydney Collins was unavailable due to her injury, and Bianca St-Georges made a brief cameo, entering in the 81st minute. Late Friday, the Bay earned a 2-1 win over San Diego. Lysianne Proulx was not in net for the Bay, and Kailen Sheridan played as keeper for the Wave.
The Washington Spirit came from behind to win 4-2 over Angel City. Gabrielle Carle played the full match for the Spirit; Megan Reid also played 90 for Angel City. Kansas City Current drew 3-3 with Louisville, extending their unbeaten run. Nichelle Prince entered in the 57th minute for Kansas City, and Desiree Scott was not listed as being part of the game-day squad. Finally, both Jordyn Huitema and Quinn remained out injured for the Seattle Reign, who continued their season of struggles with a 3-2 loss to the Orlando Pride.
