UWCL
The UWCL qualifying stages wrapped up this week, which saw Benfica and BK Häcken fail to advance. Marie Alidou played 77 minutes for Benfica in their 2-0 loss to Hammarby (3-2 on aggregate) and Clarissa Larisey played 67 minutes for BK Häcken in their 4-0 loss to Arsenal (4-1 on aggregate).
Juventus and Roma both advance to the UWCL group stages. Lysianne Proulx was the backup keeper for Juventus in their 2-1 win (5-2 on aggregate) over Paris Saint-Germain. Evelyne Viens played 60 minutes and earned two assists for Roma in their 7-2 win over Servette FFC (10-3 on aggregate).
The UWCL Group Stage will have Vanessa Gilles’ Lyon and Evelyne Viens’ Roma in Group A, Kadeisha Buchanan and Ashley Lawrence’s Chelsea will be in Group B, and Lysianne Proulx’s Juventus in Group C. No CanWNT players will feature in Group D.
NCAA
Georgetown and USC both had two games this week. In Georgetown’s first game, Anna Karpenko did not feature in the 5-0 win over Seton Hall. Karpenko would play the second half for Georgetown in their 3-1 win over the University of Connecticut. For USC, Laurence Gladu was in net for USC in their 2-2 draw with Minnesota and then kept the clean sheet in the 3-0 win over Wisconsin.
Annabelle Chukwu played 76 minutes for Notre Dame in their 1-1 draw with NC State.
Jade Rose did not play for Harvard this week; Harvard lost 2-1 to Brown.
NWSL
To start, this week Christine Sinclair formally announced her retirement from professional soccer; her final (regular season) game will be on November 1st.
Gabby Carle had a player of the match performance for the Washington Spirit in their 2-1 win over Angel City. Carle played the full 90 for the Spirit and Megan Reid played the full 90 for Angel City.

The Kansas City Current drew Gotham FC 1-1. For the Current, Nichelle Prince played the first half and Desiree Scott was an unused sub. The Utah Royals defeated Racing Louisville 1-0. Cloé Lacasse played the full game for the Royals and Janine Beckie played 85 minutes for Racing.
The Houston Dash fell 3-1 to the Orlando Pride; Allysha Chapman played the second half, and Sophie Schmidt played the final 24 minutes. The Portland Thorns’ losing streak continued as they fell 2-0 to the San Diego Wave. For the Thorns, Christine Sinclair and Jessie Fleming played 81 and 89 minutes respectively, while Kailen Sheridan kept the clean sheet for the Wave.

In the final two NWSL games of the week, the North Carolina Courage beat the Chicago Red Stars 3-1 and the Seattle Reign fell 0-1 to Bay FC. For the Courage, Bianca St-Georges played the final 22 minutes and Sydney Collins remained unavailable due to injury. Julia Grosso played 77 minutes for the Red Stars. Both Quinn and Jordyn Huitema played the full 90 for the Reign in their loss.
WSL
Chelsea beat newly promoted Crystal Palace 7-0. Ashley Lawrence played 63 minutes and Kadeisha Buchanan was an unused sub. Jayde Riviere played the full game and Simi Awujo came on in the 67th minute for Manchester United in their 1-0 win over Everton.
Olivia Smith played 75 minutes for Liverpool in their 1-1 draw with West Ham. Smith scored the lone goal for Liverpool, her first for her new team. Shelina Zadorsky played the full 90 for West Ham.

Deanne Rose came on in the 63rd minute for Leicester in their 1-0 loss to Arsenal.
Sabrina D’Angelo and Adriana Leon’s Aston Villa drew Tottenham Hotspurs 2-2. D’Angelo was in net and Leon came on in the 66th minute and scored one goal.
KVINDELIGAEN
Emma Regan played the full 90 and was named Player of the Match for HB Køge in their 0-0 draw with Fortuna Hjørring.

DIV 1
Vanessa Gilles played 63 minutes for Lyon in their 6-0 win over Strasbourg. Latifah Abdu played 69 minutes for Guingamp in their 4-0 loss to Paris Saint-Germain.

Melissa Dagenais was in net for Damaiense in their 2-1 loss to Albergaria. Marie Alidou entered in the 69th minute for Benfica in their 2-0 win over Sporting CP.

Roma defeated Napoli 3-1 this weekend. Evelyne Viens played 58 minutes and had a goal and an assist.
Lysianne Proulx served as backup keeper for Juventus in their 4-0 win over Fiorentina.
