Canada

Canada will play two friendlies this upcoming window, one against Iceland and one against South Korea – both games will take place in Spain. The team will play Iceland on November 29^th and South Korea on and on December 3^rd. Canada last played Iceland in 2019, a 0-0 draw, and played South Korea in 2022, also a 0-0 draw.

In devastating news, Chelsea announced this week that Kadeisha Buchanan has torn her ACL. We are heartbroken for Buchanan and we wish her all the best.

USA – NWSL

Gabby Carle entered in the 79^th minute for the Washington Spirit’s win over Gotham FC to advance to the NWSL Final. The Spirit won 3-0 on penalties after the game ended 1-1 in AET.

A Canadian Clash in the NWSL Final was not meant to be, as the KC Current fell 3-2 to the Orlando Pride. Nichelle Prince played the second half and Desiree Scott, in what turned out to be her last professional game, was an unused sub.

USA – NCCA

The NCAA Women’s Cup began this week with two CanWNT players participating – Anna Karpenko with Georgetown and Laurence Gladu with USC. Both Karpenko and Gladu helped their teams advance to the second round. Karpenko played the second half for Georgetown’s 3-0 win over Fairfield and Gladu was in net for USC’s 5-0 win over Sacramento State.

Italy – Serie A

Evelyne Viens was an unused sub for Roma’s 2-1 win over Lazio. Lysianne Proulx was in net for Juventus this week in their 2-2 draw with Sassuolo.

UWCL

Lysianne Proulx was the backup keeper for Juventus’ 4-0 loss to Arsenal. Vanessa Gilles’ Lyon defeated Evelyne Viens’ Roma 3-0, Gilles played the first half and scored one goal, and Viens was an unused sub for Roma.

Ashley Lawrence played the first half and scored the winning goal for Chelsea in their 2-1 win over Celtic. Kadeisha Buchanan was not with the squad, which we know now was due to her injury.

England – WSL

Shelina Zadorsky played the full game for West Ham in their 3-2 loss to Brighton. Sabrina D’Angelo was in net for Aston Villa’s 3-2 win over Crystal Palace – Adriana Leon played the final 3 minutes for Villa.   Olivia Smith played the full game for Liverpool in their 1-0 loss to Everton.

Manchester United won their game against Leicester City 2-0. For United, Simi Awujo played 87 minutes and Jayde Riviere played the full game. Deanne Rose entered in the 71^st minute for Leicester. Chelsea defeated Manchester City 2-0 this week, Ashley Lawrence entered in the 82nd minute and Kadeisha Buchanan was unavailable due to injury.

Denmark – Kvindeligaen

Emma Regan played the full game for HB Køge’s 2-1 loss to Fortuna Hjørring.

Portugal – Liga BPI

Benfica won 3-0 over Valadares this week, Marie Alidou played the second half

France – DIV 1

Latifah Abdu played the full game for Guingamp in their 4-0 loss, and Vanessa Gilles was unavailable for Lyon’s 11-0 win over Saint-Etienne.
