Our players have been on the move this transfer window. In England, Jayde Riviere signed a contract extension with Manchester United, signing with the Red Devils until 2028. Clarissa Larisey made the move from Sweden to the WSL, joining Crystal Palace until 2027. Jeneva Hernandez Gray has gone pro, with her first professional club being Sporting CP in Portugal. The youngster has signed a contract lasting until 2028.
Two CanXNT players have joined the Northern Super League. Quinn makes the move to the Vancouver Rise from the Seattle Reign, and Desiree Scott has come out of a short retirement to join Ottawa Rapid FC.
England
Deanne Rose remains sidelined after the injury she sustained in December. She missed Leicester City’s 4-1 win over Stoke City Ladies in the fourth round of the FA Women’s Cup, and their 1-0 loss to Tottenham in the WSL.
Olivia Smith scored the first goal of 2025 in the WSL, playing 62 minutes for Liverpool in their 2-1 win over Brighton. Both Canadians earned the start for Aston Villa in their 1-1 draw with Everton: Adriana Leon played 79 minutes, and Sabrina D’Angelo was in net. Ashley Lawrence and Shelina Zadorsky faced off as Chelsea defeated West Ham 5-0. Lawrence entered the match in the 71st minute, and Zadorsky played the full match. Kadeisha Buchanan remains unavailable for the foreseeable future with her ACL injury. In the Manchester derby, Riviere had an impressive match, playing the full match for United and helping them to a 4-2 victory over City. Simi Awujo was an unused substitute.
Larisey was not yet available for Crystal Palace, so she did not feature in their 5-0 defeat to Arsenal.
France

Vanessa Gilles played the full match for Lyon in their 2-0 win over rivals PSG.
Italy
Lysianne Proulx was in net for Juventus in their 3-1 win over Lazio in the first leg of the Coppa Italia quarter finals. Evelyne Viens played the first half for Roma in their quarter final matchup, which ended in a narrow 1-0 victory over Napoli.
The two Canadians found themselves facing each other in regular league play later in the week. Viens played the full match and earned an assist—her first since returning from injury—to help Roma win 3-1 over Juventus, for whom Proulx served as backup keeper.
Portugal
In the second leg of the Taça da Liga Feminina quarter final, Marie Alidou played 62 minutes for Benfica in their 3-0 win over Marítimo. Benfica win the tie 5-0 on aggregate. Hernandez Gray was not yet available for Sporting as they competed in their quarter final match; Sporting advanced via penalty kicks.
In Liga BPI play, Alidou entered in the 59th minute and scored one goal for Benfica in a 6-1 thrashing of Estoril Praia. Hernandez Gray remained unavailable for Sporting CP as they beat Famalicão 5-0.
