This week the first leg of the Taça da Liga Feminina semi-finals took place. Jeneva Hernandez Gray was unavailable for Sporting CP in their 6-0 win over Damaiense. Marie Alidou played the full game and had one assist in Benfica’s 3-0 win over Torreense. The second leg of the semi-finals will be held on Wednesday February 12^th.

In league play on the weekend, Hernandez Gray was still not available for Sporting CP, Sporting defeated Vilaverdense 9-0. Alidou played the full game for Benifca and scored one goal in their 3-1 win over Famalicao.

Italy

Lysianne Proulx was an unused sub for Juventus in their 2-0 win over Inter. Evelyne Viens played the full game and had one assist for Roma in their 3-2 loss to Milan.

England

The semi-finals of the Women’s League Cup were held this week. Chelsea had a strong defeat of Durham Women, winning 5-0 with Ashley Lawrence playing the full game and earning two assists. Kadeisha Buchanan remains unavailable for Chelsea due to her injury.

Manchester United fell 2-1 to Manchester City, Simi Awujo played the full game and Jayde Riviere played the final 16 minutes. Shelina Zadorsky was an unused sub for West Ham in their 2-1 win over Tottenham. The Semi-finals of the Women’s League Cup will take place on Wednesday February 5^th.

 

In league play, Aston Villa lost 4-2 to Manchester City. Sabrina D’Angelo was in net and Adriana Leon played 64 minutes. Lawrence was an unused sub for Chelsea in their 1-0 win over Arsenal.

Clarissa Larisey made her debut for her new club, Crystal Palace, coming on in the 88^th minute in the 3-2 loss to Tottenham. Olivia Smith played the full game for Liverpool and scored their lone goal in their shocking 2-1 loss to Leicester City. Deanne Rose remains unavailable for Leicester City due to the injury she picked up before the winter break. Zadorksy was yet again an unused sub for West Ham in their 2-0 win over Everton.

In the last game of the week, Jayde Riviere played 78 minutesfor Manchester United in their 3-0 win over Brighton and Simi Awujo was an unused sub.
