The Women’s League Cup final took place this weekend, with Chelsea defeating Manchester City 2-1. Ashley Lawrence was an unused substitute and Kadeisha Buchanan remains unavailable due to injury.

In regular season play, Liverpool defeated Manchester United 2-0. Olivia Smith played 82 minutes and scored two goals, one of which was a penalty kick. For United, Simi Awujo was unavailable and Jayde Riviere played 69 minutes.

Crystal Palace came away with a huge 3-1 win over Aston Villa. Clarissa Larisey started and was subbed out in injury time for Crystal Palace, and Sabrina D’Angelo was in net for Aston Villa.

Marie Alidou played 57 minutes for Benfica in their 2-0 win over Damaiense. Jeneva Hernandez Gray was unavailable for Sporting CP in their 0-0 draw with Racing Power.
USA
As December 2024 marked a year since Sophie Schmidt’s last call up/retirement from international play, we will no longer be tracking her. We wish Schmidt all the best in the rest of her professional career!
The regular NWSL season kicked off this week with various results for our Canadians. In the first Canadian Clash, the Washington Spirit defeated the Houston Dash 2-1. Gabby Carle played the full game for the Spirit and Allysha Chapman was an unused substitute for the Dash.
Julia Grosso played 79 minutes for the Chicago Stars (formally the Red Stars) in their 6-0 loss to the Orlando Pride.
In the second Canadian Clash, the KC Current beat the Portland Thorns 3-1 this week. Nichelle Prince came on in the 67th minute for the Current and Jessie Fleming played 64 minutes for the Thorns. Then, Janine Sonis’ Racing Louisville drew Sydney Collins’ North Carolina Courage 1-1. Sonis played 85 minutes and Collins remains unavailable due to injury.

The Utah Royals drew Bay FC 1-1: for the Royals, Bianca St-Georges played 63 minutes and scored the goal and Cloé Lacasse remains unavailable due to injury. In the final Saturday game, Jordyn Huitema and the Seattle Reign drew Gotham FC 1-1. Huitema played the full game.
In the final game of the weekend, and the final Canadian Clash, the San Diego Wave drew Angel City FC 1-1. Kailen Sheridan was in net and Adriana Leon entered in the 65th minute for the Wave, and Megan Reid played the final four minutes for Angel City.
Sweden
Carly Wickenheiser played 62 minutes for BK Häcken in their 4-2 win over Djurgården in the group stage of the Svenska Cupen.
France
Vanessa Gilles was unavailable for Lyon this week as Lyon defeated Reism 8-1.
Italy
Lysianne Proulx was an unused substitute for Juventus in their 2-0 loss to Fiorentina.
