Canada

Vancouver Rise and AFC Toronto played to a 1-1 draw. Holly Ward, Quinn, and Samantha Chang all started for the Rise. Ward went the full 90, Quinn played 89 before substituting off due to injury, and Chang played 58 minutes. For Toronto, Emma Regan played the full match. For Ottawa, Desiree Scott played 60 minutes in their scoreless draw with Calgary.

England

This weekend, the 2024-2025 WSL regular season came to an end. Manchester United lost their final fixture to Arsenal by a score of 4-3; this result has them end the season in third place and qualify for a UWCL spot. Jayde Riviere was ruled out for United due to injury, and Simi Awujo entered in the 89th minute, playing for the first time in a few weeks. Aston Villa ended their rocky season on a high note with a 3-1 win over Brighton. Sabrina D’Angelo was in net for the Villans.

Chelsea ended their season as league champions once again, unbeaten in all 22 games with a 1-0 win over Liverpool. Ashley Lawrence entered in the 83rd minute for Chelsea and earned the assist on the match’s only goal, while Kadeisha Buchanan remained unavailable. For Liverpool, Olivia Smith played 69 minutes before being subbed off due to a back spasm. Leicester City managed to hold on for a 4-2 win over West Ham. For Leicester City, Deanne Rose was not included in the squad, and for West Ham, Shelina Zadorsky played the first half. Finally, Crystal Palace played their last match in the WSL before they move back down to the newly-named WSL 2 in September; Clarissa Larisey entered in the 79th minute for Palace as they lost 5-2 to Manchester City.

France

Vanessa Gilles was not included in Lyon’s squad in their 2-0 win over Le Havre. Gilles did play the full match for Lyon in their Div 1 semi-final game against Dijon, earning a goal and an assist.

Italy

Evelyne Viens was finally included in a game-day squad for the first time after her injury in March, but ultimately didn’t play for Roma in their 1-0 win over Fiorentina. Lysianne Proulx served as backup keeper for Juventus as they lost 1-0 to Inter.

Portugal

Jeneva Hernandez Gray scored her first professional goal, playing the second half for Sporting CP in their 3-0 victory over Maritímo.

Sweden

Carly Wickenheiser played 55 minutes and earned 1 assist for BK Häcken in their 6-1 victory over Brommapojkarna.

USA

In the first NWSL game of the week, Janine Sonis played 87 minutes for Racing Louisville in their 1-0 win against Gotham FC. Later, Angel City won 2-0 over Utah. Megan Reid entered in the 85th minute for Angel City to help keep the clean sheet, whereas both Cloé Lacasse and Bianca St-Georges were ruled out for Utah due to injury.

Julia Grosso scored her first NWSL goal for Chicago in their 3-2 loss to Gabby Carle’s Washington Spirit. Grosso and Carle both played the full match. Sydney Collins remained unavailable for North Carolina as they drew 1-1 with Orlando. San Diego and Portland also played to a 1-1 draw: Kailen Sheridan was in net for her 150th NWSL appearance and Adriana Leon played the second half for the Wave. For the Thorns, Jessie Fleming and Mimi Alidou played 70 and 11 minutes respectively.

Nichelle Prince returned from injury, making a substitute appearance in the 64th minute for Kansas City in their 4-1 win over Bay FC. Lastly, Houston Dash won 1-0 over Seattle Reign. Allysha Chapman was unavailable for Houston, and Jordyn Huitema played the full match for Seattle.
