Latifah Abdu’s new club was revealed after her decision last week to leave Montreal; she has transferred to Vancouver Rise.

Canada

Desiree Scott played 66 minutes for Ottawa as they cruised to a 5-0 victory over Halifax. AFC Toronto returned to action this week with a 2-0 win against Calgary; captain Emma Regan played the full match for the victors. In the last match of the week, Vancouver Rise won 2-1 over Montreal. Holly Ward and Quinn both played the full match, with Ward scoring a goal and Quinn assisting both of Vancouver’s goals. Samantha Chang started and played 71 minutes, and Latifah Abdu didn’t feature as the trade agreement stipulates that she cannot play against Montreal this season.

Germany

Vanessa Gilles played the last eight minutes for Bayern München in their 4-2 victory over Wolfsburg in the German Supercup der Frauen.

Sweden

Carly Wickenheiser was unavailable for BK Häcken as they won handily 4-0 over Vittsjö.

USA -NCAA

Annabelle Chukwu played 77 minutes for Notre Dame in their 3-0 victory over Michigan. For Michigan State (MSU), Kayla Briggs played the full match as they won 2-1 over Buffalo. Noelle Henning did not feature in this game. For SMU, Nyah Rose played 68 minutes in their 2-0 loss against Texas Tech. Janet Okeke played the full match for Florida State as they drew 1-1 with Kansas. Finally, Ella Ottey also played the full 90 for Wisconsin in their 1-0 loss to LSU.

On the second NCAA game-day, MSU fell 5-2 to Xavier U. Briggs played 59 minutes, and Henning played the first half. Finally, Notre Dame was on the better end of a lopsided scoreline, winning 8-0 over Oakland. Chukwu scored one goal and played 62 minutes.

USA – NWSL

The week’s NWSL action kicked off with a 1-1 draw between Racing Louisville and Houston Dash. Janine Sonis played the full match—as captain—for Louisville, and Clarissa Larisey came off the bench in the 60th minute for Houston. Orlando Pride lost 2-0 to Gotham FC, a game for which Zara Chavoshi was once again unavailable.

Utah Royals managed to secure a rare win 2-1 over Portland Thorns. For the Royals, Cloé Lacasse played the second half and Bianca St-Georges entered in the 72nd minute. For Portland, Mimi Alidou earned the start, playing 57 minutes before Jessie Fleming entered as her substitution.

Friday night’s matches ended with a scoreless draw between San Diego Wave and Seattle Reign. Kailen Sheridan earned the clean sheet for the Wave, and teammate Adriana Leon played the second half. For Seattle, Jordyn Huitema played the full match.

Kansas City Current won 2-0 over North Carolina Courage; Nichelle Prince entered in the 81st minute for the Current. In a 1-1 draw between Washington and Chicago, Gabby Carle and Julia Grosso both played the full match for their respective teams. Finally, Megan Reid played the full match for Angel City, helping them to a 2-1 win over Bay FC.

UWCL

The second round of UWCL qualification was held this week. Manchester United won their first match comfortably, a 4-0 victory over PSV. Jayde Riviere played the full match and Simi Awujo was unavailable for United. They also won their second match against Hammarby IF by a scoreline of 1-0. Riviere once again went the distance, and Awujo was not listed on the team sheet.

Evelyne Viens was unavailable for Roma for both of their UWCL fixtures this week; however, Roma advanced comfortably with a 2-0 win over Aktobe and a 5-1 win over Sparta Prague.
