Confederation
The first leg of the UWCL third round of qualifying took place this week. Carly Wickenheiser played the full game for BK Häcken’s 1-1 draw with Atletico Madrid. Manchester United fell 1-0 to Brann; Jayde Riviere played the full game and Simi Awujo was unavailable. Sporting CP defeated Roma 2-1; Evelyne Viens remained unavailable for Roma and Jeneva Hernandez Gray was an unused substitute for Sporting.
USA – NCAA
Annabelle Chukwu continues to be a threat for Notre Dame as she helped her team to a 2-1 win against NC State. Chukwu played 59 minutes and scored the game winning goal in the 86th minute. Janet Okeke played the full game, helping FSU keep the clean sheet in a 2-0 win over Louisville. Nyah Rose played 79 minutes for SMU in their 1-1 draw with Syracuse. Ella Ottey’s Wisconsin fell 2-1 to Purdue this week; Ottey played the full game and had the assist on Wisconsin’s lone goal.
Michigan State drew Rutgers 1-1; Kayla Briggs played the full game and Noelle Henning served as the backup keeper.
In their second game of the week, Okeke played 63 minutes in FSU’s 4-0 win over Syracuse. N. Rose would play 57 minutes for SMU in their 1-0 win over Alcorn.
USA – NWSL
San Diego suffered a tough 2-0 loss to Gotham FC this weekend, Kailen Sheridan was in net and Adriana Leon entered in the 61st minute. In the game, Sheridan made her 600th NWSL regular season save, making her just the second keeper in NWSL history to reach this milestone.
Megan Reid was unavailable due to injury for Angel City in their 2-1 loss to the North Carolina Courage. Zara Chavoshi played the full game for the Orlando Pride in their 1-1 draw with Bay FC. In the first NWSL Canadian Clash of the week, the Washington Spirit drew the Kansas City Current 1-1. Gabby Carle played the full game for the Spirit and Nichelle Prince played the first half for the Current.
Sunday was a series of Canadian Clashes with all three games featuring at least one Canadian on each team. First, the Portland Thorns drew the Chicago Stars 1-1. For the Thorns, Jessie Fleming played 86 minutes, subbing out for Mimi Alidou. For the Stars, Julia Grosso played the full match.
Then Cloé Lacasse and Bianca St-Georges’ Utah Royals defeated Clarissa Larisey’s Houston Dash 2-0. Lacasse played 59 minutes and had one assist and St-Georges played the final 12 minutes for the Royals. Larisey played the first half for the Dash.
In the final game of the week, the Seattle Reign faced off against Racing Louisville, with Jordyn Huitema and Janine Sonis starting for their respective teams. However, the game was abandoned just before half time due to Racing’s Savannah DeMelo experiencing a medical emergency. The Rise Higher crew will keep DeMelo in their thoughts and they hope she has a swift recovery. The second half of the game will be played at a later date.
England
Arsenal defeated West Ham 5-1 this weekend. Olivia Smith played 63 minutes and had one assist for Arsenal while Shelina Zadorsky played the full game for West Ham. Smith’s hard work also won her team the penalty for the team’s 5th goal. Jade Rose was an unused substitute for Manchester City in their 2-1 win over Brighton.
Kadeisha Buchanan’s Chelsea defeated Sabrina D’Angelo’s Aston Villa 3-1. Neither Buchanan or D’Angelo were available for their teams due to injury.
Jayde Riviere made her 50th appearance for Manchester United this week in their 5-1 win over the London City Lionesses. Riviere marked the occasion by scoring her first professional goal. Simi Awujo remains unavailable for United.
In the WSL2, Deanne Rose played 89 minutes for Nottingham Forest in their 1-0 win over Ispwich Town.
Canada
Desiree Scott played the full game for the Ottawa Rapid in their 1-1 draw with the Halifax Tides. AFC Toronto strongly defeated the Vancouver Rise 7-0 this week, with Emma Regan playing the full game for Toronto. For the Rise, Samantha Chang played the full game, Holly Ward played 82 minutes, and both Quinn and Latifah Abdu played 57 minutes. With their win, AFC Toronto becomes the first NSL team to clinch their playoff spot.

Italy
Lysianne Proulx remained unavailable for Juventus as they defeated Napoli 4-0 in the Serie A Women’s Cup. Evelyne Viens was unavailable for Roma in their 3-0 win over Sassuolo in the Serie A Women’s Cup.
France
In their opening match of the Coupe LFFP, Montpellier lost to Olympique de Marseille on penalties. Marie Levasseur played the full match for Montpellier, returning from suspension.
Germany
Vanessa Gilles played the full game for Bayern München in their 3-0 win over RB Leipzig; Gilles scored her second goal in as many games for her new team.
