Germany

Vanessa Gilles continues to shine for Bayern München, playing the full game and scoring one goal in Bayern’s 4-0 win over Freiburg on the 23rd. On Monday, Gilles played 69 minutes for Bayern in their 2-0 win over Dortmund in the first round of the DFB Pokal.

Italy

The semi-finals and the final of the Italy Women’s Cup were held this week. In their semi-final, Evelyne Viens entered the match in the 63rd minute and scored one goal in Roma’s 3-0 win over Lazio. Juventus won their semi-final 2-1 over Inter; however, Lysianne Proulx remains unavailable for her team.

Juventus would win the cup with a 3-2 win over Roma; Proulx remained unavailable for Juventus and Viens played the final 30 minutes for Roma.

England – Super League Cup

The group stage of the Women’s Super League Cup features four Canadians: Jade Rose (Manchester City), Deanne Rose (Nottingham Forest), Shelina Zadorsky (West Ham United), and Sabrina D’Angelo (Aston Villa).

In the first game, Aston Villa fell to Tottenham Hotspurs in penalties; D’Angelo was the backup keeper and did not feature. J. Rose played the full game and scored her first professional goal for Manchester City in their 3-1 win over Everton. Zadorsky was unavailable for West Ham in their 5-1 win over Charlton. D. Rose was an unused substitute for Nottingham in their 2-1 win over Newcastle.

England – WSL/WSL2

Aston Villa held Arsenal to a 1-1 draw this week. Sabrina D’Angelo was in net for Villa and Olivia Smith played 65 minutes for Arsenal. D. Rose played the full game for Nottingham in their 2-1 win over Bristol City. J. Rose was an unused substitute for City in their 4-1 win over London City.

Jayde Riviere returned from injury, playing 67 minutes for Manchester United in their 2-0 win over Liverpool; Simi Awujo remains unavailable for her team.

Chelsea handed a tough 4-0 defeat to West Ham this week. Kadeisha Buchanan remains unavailable for Chelsea and Zadorsky played the full game for West Ham.

USA – NCAA

In their first game of the week, Annabelle Chukwu played 69 minutes for Notre Dame in their 4-3 win over North Carolina. In their second game, Chukwu played 46 minutes in Notre Dame’s 5-1 win over Clemson.

Nyah Rose played 59 minutes and scored a brace for SMU in their 4-0 win over Pittsburgh. N. Rose then played 38 minutes for SMU in their scoreless draw with Miami.

In Michigan State’s 2-1 win over Minnesota, Kayla Briggs played 80 minutes and Noelle Henning was in net. Wisconsin won their first game this week, a 2-1 win over Iowa; Ella Ottey played the full game.

Then there was a Canadian Clash when Michigan State took on Wisconsin. Michigan would come out with a huge 6-0 victory, handing Wisconsin their worst loss since 2009. For Michigan, Henning kept the clean sheet and Briggs played 66 minutes and had two assists. For Wisconsin, Ottey played 72 minuets.

USA – NWSL

The Kansas City Current defeated the Chicago Stars 4-1. Nichelle Prince was an unused substitute for Kansas City and Julia Grosso played the full game for Chicago. The Portland Thorns fell 3-0 to Gotham; Jessie Fleming played 77 minutes and Mimi Alidou was an unused substitute.

The Orlando Pride defeated the San Diego Wave 2-1 this weekend. Zara Chavoshi played the full game for the Pride and for the Wave, Adriana Leon played 73 minutes and Kailen Sheridan was the backup keeper.

In Racing Louisville’s 1-0 win over Angel City, Janine Sonis played the full game for Racing and Megan Reid entered in injury time for Angel City. The Utah Royals are now undefeated in seven games after coming away with a 2-0 win over Bay FC. Cloé Lacasse played 83 minutes and Bianca St-Georges entered in the 75th minute.

The Washington Spirit clinched their spot in the NWSL playoffs this week with a 4-0 win over the Houston Dash. Gabby Carle played 82 minutes for the Spirit and Clarissa Larisey played 62 minutes for the Dash.

Jordyn Huitema played the full game for the Seattle Reign in their 2-1 win over the NC Courage.

Canada

AFC Toronto defeated Ottawa Rapid 1-0, and in doing so won the NSL Supporter’s Shield. For Toronto, Emma Regan once again played the full game and for Ottawa, Desiree Scott played 85 minutes.

The Vancouver Rise drew the Halifax Tides 1-1 this week, with the one point being enough for the Rise to secure the last spot in the NSL playoffs. Latifah Abdu played 85 minutes and both Holly Ward and Samantha Chang played the full game, with Ward scoring the lone goal for the Rise. Quinn was unavailable for the Rise this week.

Sweden

Carly Wickenheiser’s BK Häcken defeated AIK 5-2; Wickenheiser played 64 minutes.

France

Marie Levassuer played the full game for Montpellier in their 3-2 loss to Le Havre. Ashely Lawrence entered in the 75th minute for OL Lyonnes in their 6-1 win over PSG.

Portugal

Jeneva Hernandez Gray played the final 29 minutes for Sporting CP in their 2-0 win over Valadares Gaia.
