Canada – National Team
The 24-player roster for the upcoming friendlies against Switzerland and the Netherlands was revealed. This window marks twelve months since both Kadeisha Buchanan and Cloé Lacasse’s last call ups and therefore we will no longer be tracking them. Unfortunately, in her press conference, Casey Stoney shared that Buchanan has had a setback in her recovery and will continue to be unavailable for the foreseeable future.
This window also features three new call ups in Emily Burns (Nantes), Florianne Jourde (Paris Saint-Germain), and Kaylee Hunter (AFC Toronto). Simi Awujo and Vanessa Gilles are unavailable due to injury, while Annabelle Chukwu and Kayla Briggs remain with their college teams.
Europe – UWCL
Lysianne Proulx remained unavailable for Juventus due to a shoulder injury; Juventus won their game against Benfica 2-1. OL Lyonnes defeated Arsenal 2-1: Ashley Lawrence was an unused substitute for OL Lyonnes, and Olivia Smith entered the match in the 56th minute for Arsenal. Vanessa Gilles was unavailable for Bayern München in their 7-1 loss to Barcelona.
Chelsea drew FC Twente 1-1; Buchanan was unavailable.

Evelyne Viens played 60 minutes for Roma and scored one goal in their 6-2 loss to Real Madrid. Manchester United defeated Välerenga 1-0; Jayde Riviere played the full match and Simi Awujo played the final 3 minutes.
Europe – Europa Cup
The second qualifying round of the Europa Cup was held this week. Carly Wickenheiser played the full game for BK Häcken in their 4-0 win over GKS Katowice. Jeneva Hernandez Gray entered in added time for Sporting CP in their 3-0 win over FC Rosengård.
England – WSL and WSL2
Sabrina D’Angelo kept the clean sheet for Aston Villa in their 0-0 draw with Leicester City. Chelsea won their game against Tottenham 1-0; Buchanan was unavailable.

Deanne Rose was unavailable for Nottingham Forest in their 3-0 loss to Durham. Shelina Zadorsky played the full game for West Ham in their 1-0 loss to London City. Manchester United won 4-1 over Everton; Riviere played the full game and Awujo was an unused substitute. Smith played 64 minutes for Arsenal in their 1-0 win over Brighton. Jade Rose played the full game for Manchester City’s 2-1 win over Liverpool.
England – Women’s League Cup
Zadorsky played 45 minutes for West Ham in their 2-1 win over Brighton.
Canada – NSL
The Vancouver Rise defeated the Ottawa Rapid 2-0 on Wednesday. Desiree Scott played 73 minutes for the Rapid and for the Rise, Samantha Chang played the full game, Latifah Abdu played 67 minutes and scored one goal, and Holly Ward was subbed off in injury time. Quinn was unavailable for the Rise. Then, the Rise won 1-0 over the Montréal Roses; Abdu, Ward, Chang all played the full game and Quinn played the first half.

USA – NCAA
Annabelle Chukwu continued to shine for her college team, scoring one goal in 67 minutes of play for Notre Dame in their 4-2 win over Florida State. For Florida State, Janet Okeke played the full game. Chukwu then scored in 56 minutes of play for Notre Dame in their 3-0 win over SMU; Nyah Rose did not feature for SMU.
Noelle Henning and Kayla Briggs both played the full game for Michigan State in their 1-0 win over Michigan. N. Rose did not feature for SMU in their 3-2 loss to Clemson. Ella Ottey played the full game for Wisconsin in their 1-0 win over UCLA. Ottey once again played the full game for Wisconsin’s 1-0 win over USC.
Michigan State suffered a tough 5-3 loss to Iowa this week; Henning was in net and Briggs played the full game and earned an assist.
USA – NWSL
In the first Canadian Clash of the NWSL weekend, Racing Louisville drew the Chicago Stars 1-1. Janine Sonis played the full game and earned the assist for Racing and Julia Grosso played the full game for the Stars. Then, the Orlando Pride defeated the Portland Thorns 1-0. For the Thorns, Jessie Fleming played the full game and Mimi Alidou entered in the 62nd minute. For the Pride, Zara Chavoshi played the final 20 minutes.
Jordyn Huitema played 63 minutes for the Seattle Reign in their 1-1 draw with Bay FC. The KC Current defeated Gotham 2-0; Nichelle Prince entered in the 67th minute. Gabby Carle, for the first time in regular league play this season, was an unused substitute for the Washington Spirit in their 1-1 draw with NC Courage.
In the third Canadian Clash of the weekend, the San Diego Wave defeated the Utah Royals 3-2. For the Wave, Kailen Sheridan was in net and Adriana Leon played 69 minutes. For the Royals, Lacasse played 82 minutes and Bianca St-Georges was unavailable. Then in the fourth and final Clash, Angel City kept their playoff hopes alive and defeated the Dash 2-0. Megan Reid played the final 15 minutes for Angel City and Clarissa Larisey played the first half for the Dash.
Portugal – Liga BPI
Hernandez Gray entered in the 64th minute for Sporting in their 4-0 win over Maritimo.
Germany – Bundesliga
Gilles remained unavailable for Bayern in their 3-1 win over VFL Wolfsburg.
Italy – Serie A
Juventus lost 1-0 to Como Women; Proulx remained unavailable. Viens played 77 minutes for Roma in their 2-1 win over Milan.
France – Coupe de la Ligue
Marie Levassuer played the full game and scored one goal for Montpellier in their 3-0 win over Toulouse.
Sweden – Damallsvenskan
Wickenheiser played the full game for BK Häcken in their 2-0 win over Hammarby IF.
