Earlier in the week, Angel City announced that Megan Reid would be leaving the club at the end of the season. On Monday, expansion team Denver Summit FC signed Reid to a three-year contract through the 2028 season. 

Canada- NSL

The inaugural Northern Super League season came to a close this week with the Vancouver Rise defeating AFC Toronto 2-1 to win the Diana B Matheson Cup. Quinn, Holly Ward, Latifah Abdu, and Samantha Chang started for the Rise, and Emma Regan and Kaylee Hunter started for Toronto. Hunter would make history by being the first goal scorer in an NSL Championship game, as well as the first player to score for Toronto at BMO Field.

For the Rise, Quinn unfortunately was forced to withdraw from the match in the 37th minute due to injury after they were on the receiving end of a bad tackle that left them unable to continue to play. Latifah Abdu exited the game in added time, while Samantha Chang and Holly Ward both played the full game, with Chang earning the assist on Ward’s game winning goal.

Kaylee Hunter and Emma Regan both played the full match for Toronto; as a result, Regan played every minute for her team this season.

USA – NWSL

In the NWSL Semi-Finals, the Washington Spirit defeated the Portland Thorns 2-0 and the Orlando Pride fell 1-0 to Gotham FC. For Portland, Jessie Fleming played the full game and Mimi Alidou was unavailable with an excused absence. Gabby Carle was unavailable for Washington with a thigh injury she suffered in the Quarter Finals. For Orlando, Zara Chavoshi was an unused substitute.

The NCAA College Cup began this week with Canadians featuring for four teams, all of whom will be moving on to the next round. Janet Okeke played 45 minutes for FSU in their 4-0 win over Samford. Noelle Henning was in net and Kayla Briggs scored one goal and played 61 minutes for Michigan State in their 4-1 win over Milwaukee. Ella Ottey played the full game for Wisconsin in their 3-2 win over McClimon. Finally, Notre Dame defeated UIC 4-0, with Annabelle Chukwu playing 66 minutes. 

Confederation – Europa Cup

Carly Wickenheiser played the full game for BK Häcken in their 1-0 win over Inter. Jeneva Hernandez Gray entered in the 74th minute for Sporting CP in their 1-1 draw with Glasgow City. 

Confederation – UWCL

AS Roma lost 1-0 to Välerenga; Evelyne Viens played 72 minutes. Ashley Lawrence played the final 13 minutes for OL Lyonnes in their 3-1 win over WFL Wolfsburg. Bayern München came from behind to defeated Arsenal 3-2; Vanessa Gilles was an unused substitute for Bayern, and Olivia Smith played the final 8 minutes for Arsenal. 

Lysianne Proulx remained unavailable for Juventus due to injury; Juventus defeated Atletico Madrid 2-1.

Jayde Riviere and Simi Awujo’s Manchester United beat Florianne Jourde’s PSG 2-1. Riviere played the full game, earning an assist and UWCL Player of the Match, while Awujo started and exited the match in the 69th minute. Jourde was unavailable for PSG. 

England – Women’s League Cup

In the Women’s League Cup, Shelina Zadorsky played the final 9 minutes for West Ham in their 5-0 defeat of Southampton.  

England – WSL/WSL2

In the Manchester Derby, City came out the winners in a 3-0 defeat of United. Jade Rose played the full game for City and for United, Rivere played 62 minutes while Awujo entered in the 83rd minute and exited the game in added time due to a head collision with J. Rose.

Sabrina D’Angelo was in net for Aston Villa in their 3-1 loss to London City Lionesses. Zadorsky played the full game for West Ham in their 3-1 win over Everton. Olivia Smith played the second half for Arsenal in a scoreless draw with Tottenham. 

Deanne Rose remains unavailable for Nottingham Forest who drew Sheffield United 0-0.

France – Coupe LFFP

Emily Burns served as backup keeper for Nantes in their 6-1 win over Guingamp. Montpellier defeated Rodez 2-1 with Marie Levasseur playing the full game.

Germany – Cup 

Gilles returned from injury, entering in the 57th minute for Bayern München in their 3-0 win over Ingolstadt in the DFB Pokal Frauen Round of 16. 

Sweden – Damallsvenskan 

In the final game of the regular season, Wickenheiser played the first half for BK Häcken in their 1-0 win over Piteå IF.  

Italy – Serie A

Viens played 81 minutes and earned one assist for Roma in their 1-0 win over Lazio. Juventus won 2-0 over Genoa with Proulx once again unavailable.
