Confederation – UWCL
It was decision day in the UWCL with the last games all kicking off at the same time to decide who would be advancing directly to the quarter-finals and who would have to play for a spot in the quarter-finals during the knock-out phase next year.
Bayern München secured their spot in the quarter-finals with a 3-0 win over Vålergna; Vanessa Gilles played the full game. OL Lyonnes will advance to the quarterfinals after a 4-0 win over Atletico Madrid; Ashley Lawrence was an unused substitute.

Arsenal defeated Oud-Heverlee Leuven 3-0 and will play for a spot in the quarter-finals. Olivia Smith played 65 minutes and scored one goal. Manchester United defeated Juventus 1-0, and both teams will advance to the knockout stage in the spring. For United, Jayde Riviere was unavailable, and Simi Awujo entered in the 82nd minute. Lsyianne Proulx remained unavailable for Juventus.
PSG failed to advance to the next stage of the tournament, ending their UWCL run in 17th place (out of 18 teams). Florianne Jourde entered in the 65th minute for PSG in their 1-1 draw with Benfica. Despite winning their last game 6-1, AS Roma will not advance to the next stage of the UWCL. Evelyne Viens played 78 minutes and scored a hat-trick for her team.
France – Première Ligue
This week, news broke that PSG has been docked 9 points after a complaint came from Fleury concerning Florianne Jourde not having the International Transfer Certificate required for professional players to complete a transfer to a new team. Jourde played several games for AS Laval, an amateur team in Canada, during the 2022-2023 season. PSG has appealed the decision; however, the decision has not yet been made. Jourde remains unavailable for her team, and in league play this week PSG drew Paris FC 0-0.
Lawrence was unavailable for OL Lyonnes in their 3-0 win over Fleury Merogis. Emoly Burns’ Nantes lost 1-0 to Strasbourg; Burns was in net for her team.
Italy – Serie A
Viens played 62 minutes in Roma’s 4-1 win over Lumezzane in the Coppa Italia Women’s Cup. Viens continues to be Canada’s most in-form striker, scoring two goals for her team in 76 minutes of play. Proulx remained unavailable for Juventus, who won 7-1 over Cesena.

England – WSL/WSL2
The Women’s League Cup quarter-finals took place this week, with Canadians all advancing to the semi-finals. First, Arsenal defeated Crystal Palace 2-0; Smith played 80 minutes. Then Manchester United came from behind to beat Tottenham Hotspur 2-1. Riviere remained unavailable for her team, and Awujo entered in injury time. Jade Rose played the full game for Manchester City in their 5-1 win over West Ham United; Shelina Zadorsky was unavailable for West Ham.

In WSL2 league action, Deanne Rose entered in the 66th minute for Nottingham Forest in their 2-1 loss to Charlton.
Germany – Bundesliga
Gilles played the final 11 minutes for Bayern in their 3-0 win over Bayer Leverkusen.
