CanWNT News
This week, the first CanWNT roster of 2026 was revealed. With the team playing in the SheBelieves Cup in March, fans were curious to see what Casey Stoney’s roster would look like. The roster looked different from usual; here are the highlights:
- The list of injured players keeps growing: Sabrina D’Angelo, Lysianne Proulx, Jayde Riviere, and Shelina Zadorsky were all unavailable for selection.
- Cloé Lacasse makes her first appearance on the roster since 2024 after rehabbing her ACL injury. Melissa Dagenais is also back on the roster for the first time since 2023.
- Ashley Lawrence and Adriana Leon were not selected so that Stoney could look at new players this window.
- This is the first senior call-up Brooklyn Courtnall has earned. She was last called up in the youth system in 2022.
Furthermore, this roster release marks one year since Megan Reid (Denver Summit) and Samantha Chang (AFC Toronto) were called up. As a result, we will no longer track them here—we wish them all the best and hope to see them back in the pool soon.
