Ottawa Rapid maintained their good form with a 3-1 win over the struggling Calgary Wild. DB Pridham and Melissa Dagenais both started for Ottawa, with Pridham earning an assist. Pridham played 87 minutes, and Dagenais was in the net for the full match. For AFC Toronto, Kaylee Hunter proved to be the difference, scoring the game’s lone goal in her 89 minutes of play. Sabrina D’Angelo was not available yet due to the timing of the transfer window.

This weekend, NWSL action resumed after the month-long break. Both Canadians—Élisabeth Tsé and Gabrielle Carle—featured for the Washington Spirit in their 2-1 win over the Houston Dash. Tsé started and played 62 minutes; Carle entered at the same time as her compatriot’s exit, and earned the assist on the game-winner for Washington.
The Denver Summit lost its match 3-0 to the Kansas City Current. Janine Sonis and Emma Regan both earned starts for Denver, with Sonis playing the full match and Regan playing the first half. Megan Reid was an unused substitute. Still returning from injury, Zara Chavoshi entered as a substitute for Orlando Pride in the 63rd minute in their 2-0 loss to Angel City FC. North Carolina Courage won their match 3-1 against Seattle Reign. Kailen Sheridan was in goal for the Courage and captained the side, and Carly Wickenheiser played 57 minutes. For Seattle, Holly Ward entered in the 87th minute. For the first time this season, Adriana Leon was available off the bench for San Diego Wave; however, she was unused as they cruised to a 2-0 win over Gotham FC.
On Sunday, Boston Legacy and Bay FC played to a 2-2 draw. Nichelle Prince played the full match and earned an assist for Boston. For Bay, Sydney Collins also played the full match, but unfortunately, she conceded the penalty that led to Boston’s equalizer. Brooklyn Courtnall entered in the 73rd minute. Chicago Stars won 3-2 against Utah Royals, marking the Royals’ first loss since March. For Chicago, Julia Grosso was unavailable due to a head injury—likely the same concussion that led to her removal from the international camp last month. Jordyn Huitema played the full match and scored a brace, powering the Stars to their fourth win of the season. Cloé Lacasse was also in form for Utah, playing the full match and scoring a goal of her own. Finally, Jessie Fleming played the full match for Portland Thorns in their 4-0 defeat of Racing Louisville. Mimi Alidou was unavailable for the Thorns and is rumoured to be leaving the club after the Thorns declined to exercise their mutual option.
