Casey Stoney revealed the roster for the upcoming CanWNT friendlies against Denmark. The roster is very similar to Stoney’s previous rosters, with no surprising omissions or inclusions. One player we haven’t seen in over a year, Lysianne Proulx, returns to the camp to make her case in front of a new goalkeeper coach.
Unfortunately, Jayde Riviere and Jordyn Huitema were unavailable due to injury. Annabelle Chukwu is unavailable due to her academic commitments. It has also been over a year since Zara Chavoshi was called up to the senior team, so we will stop covering her here and wish her all the best.
Canada
AFC Toronto clinched their play-off spot with a 3-0 win over Ottawa Rapid. Sabrina D’Angelo was in net for Toronto and earned the clean sheet; Shelina Zadorsky played the full match, and Kaylee Hunter played 78 minutes. For Ottawa, Melissa Dagenais was on the bench, and DB Pridham played 58 minutes. Montréal Roses played to a scoreless draw with Halifax Tides; Mimi Alidou played the full match.
England
In the first round of the Women’s League Cup, Marie Levasseur entered in the 76th minute for Birmingham City in their 2-0 loss to Everton. Manchester United crushed Sheffield United 10-1, with Simi Awujo starting and playing 74 minutes. Riviere was unavailable due to injury.
In the WSL, Manchester City won 1-0 over Charlton; Rose played the full match for City. Manchester United also won, defeating West Ham 2-1. Awujo entered in the 63rd minute, and Riviere was still unavailable. Birmingham City and Crystal Palace played to a 3-3 draw, and Levasseur played all 90 minutes. Finally, in WSL2, Lysianne Proulx was in net for Ipswich Town as they won 3-1 over Wolverhampton WFC. Arsenal continued their slow start to the season with a 1-0 loss at Chelsea’s hands; Olivia Smith didn’t feature for the Gunners, and Kadeisha Buchanan played the full match for Chelsea.

In the Coupe de la Ligue Française’s league phase, Emily Burns was on the bench as her team, Marseille, won 6-1 over Evian Thonon Grand Genève FC.
Germany
In the DFB Pokal Frauen’s round of 32, Vanessa Gilles played the full match and scored two goals in Bayern’s 2-1 come-from-behind-victory over Borussia Mönchengladbach.
USA
In NCAA play, Chukwu returned from the U-20 WWC and played 48 minutes for Notre Dame in their 1-1 draw with Duke.
In the NWSL, San Diego Wave were victorious over Racing Louisville by a 2-1 scoreline. Brooklyn Courtnall entered in the 81st minute, and Adriana Leon was ruled out with a hip injury. Defeated by Gotham FC, Chicago Stars fell 3-1. Julia Grosso played 77 minutes for Chicago in her 50th regular-season start for the club (and league), and Huitema was unavailable. Neither Canadian featured in the match-up between Seattle Reign and Boston Legacy; Holly Ward was an unused substitute, and Nichelle Prince was ruled out with illness. The Reign won 2-0. Then, Denver Summit lost 4-1 to Kansas City Current. Emma Regan played 64 minutes, earning another start, and Janine Sonis played the full match. Megan Reid was an unused substitute. The Washington Spirit lost 1-0 to Angel City; Gabby Carle played the full match, and Élisabeth Tsé didn’t come off the bench. In Portland Thorns’ 1-1 draw with Houston Dash, Jessie Fleming played the full match.
Sydney Collins played the full match for Bay FC in their 3-1 loss to Orlando Pride. In the week’s final match, Cloé Lacasse scored in 78 minutes for Utah Royals in their 2-1 win over North Carolina Courage. Utah’s website notes that Lacasse is now Utah’s all-time leader in goal contributions. For the Courage, Kailen Sheridan was in net, and Carly Wickenheiser entered in the 75th minute.
UWCL
Gilles and Rose faced off in the UWCL in a 2-2 draw. Both players played the full match for their respective teams. Arsenal won 1-0 against HB Køge; Smith entered in the 82nd minute. Florianne Jourde was also a late substitute, entering in the 83rd minute for PSG in their 1-1 draw with Real Madrid. OL Lyonnes obliterated Servette by a score of 8-0, and Ashley Lawrence played the full match. Évelyne Viens got Paris FC off to a good start, scoring her first UWCL goal of the season within 7 minutes of kick-off against Barcelona. However, the reigning champions showed their brilliance and took the game 5-2. Viens played 89 minutes. Finally, Buchanan played the full match for Chelsea in their 1-0 win against Austria Wien.
