The roster for the upcoming game and one-match series against Costa Rica was released.

Notably, Annabelle Chukwu and Kaylee Hunter are not on the roster as they will instead spend the window with the U-20s preparing for the World Cup later this year. This is the first senior call-up for Élisabeth Tsé, the former youth international who currently plays for Washington Spirit. Jordyn Listro is also called up for the first time since June 2021. Listro currently plays with Tampa Bay Sun FC. Adriana Leon remains injured, and Jayde Riviere misses out with an injury sustained at the end of the WSL season. It has now been a year since Latifah Abdu, Kayla Briggs, Noelle Henning, Lysianne Proulx, and Bianca St-Georges have been called up to the senior team, so we will be ceasing coverage of them now, and wish them the best.

Canada

DB Pridham scored for Ottawa Rapid as they won 2-1 over Halifax Tides. Pridham played the full match and Melissa Dagenais was on the bench. Hunter scored a goal and played 88 minutes for AFC Toronto in their 4-0 defeat of Calgary Wild.

England

Jade Rose played the full match for Manchester City as they won the FA Cup final—completing the domestic double—4-0 over Brighton.

France

Ashley Lawrence played the full match for OL Lyonnes in their 5-0 win over Paris FC in the Premiere Ligue final.

USA

Zara Chavoshi played her first minutes of the NWSL season, entering in the 74th minute for Orlando Pride in their 3-1 win over Bay FC. For Bay, Brooklyn Courtnall and Sydney Collins played the full match. Denver Summit won 1-0 over Racing Louisville. Janine Sonis started and played the full 90, Emma Regan entered in the 74th minute, and Megan Reid was an unused substitute.

Nichelle Prince played 83 minutes for Boston Legacy as they lost to her former team, Kansas City Current, 1-0. Then, Portland Thorns and Utah Royals played to a 2-2 draw. Jessie Fleming and Cloé Lacasse both played the full match for their respective teams, and Lacasse scored a goal, her fourth of the season. Mimi Alidou did not play for the Thorns. To round off Saturday, Washington Spirit won 2-1 over Seattle Reign. Gabrielle Carle and Tsé both started for Washington, lasting 82 and 66 minutes, respectively. For Seattle, Holly Ward played the first half.

Leon remained unavailable for San Diego as they bested Chicago 2-0. For Chicago, both Julia Grosso and Jordyn Huitema played the full match. Huitema did have the ball in the back of San Diego’s net to equalize the match, but it was ruled offside. Finally, North Carolina Courage won 2-1 over Angel City. Kailen Sheridan was in net for the Courage, and Carly Wickenheiser entered in the 88th minute.

World Sevens

The World Sevens: London Edition took place this weekend, with only WSL teams partaking. In Chelsea’s first match, Kadeisha Buchanan featured for the Blues in their 4-3 OT win over Everton. Manchester United won their opener as well by a scoreline of 5-4 over West Ham. Riviere was unavailable for the entire tournament, but Simi Awujo played for United, earning an assist. Shelina Zadorsky also featured for West Ham. Sabrina D’Angelo played for Aston Villa in their 6-3 win over Tottenham Hotspur. The first day ended with Buchanan playing for Chelsea in their 3-1 defeat of Leicester City.

On Friday, Awujo once again registered an assist as Manchester United won against Aston Villa by a score of 4-0. D’angelo played for Villa. Zadorsky played for West Ham in their 4-1 loss against Hotspur. Then, Buchanan earned an assist for Chelsea in their 5-2 win over London City Lionesses. Zadorsky then scored for West Ham in their 3-2 loss to D’Angelo’s Aston Villa. Awujo earned her second assist of the day in United’s 8-2 win against Tottenham Hotspur.

In the semi-finals, Buchanan was rested as Chelsea won 8-2 over Aston Villa. D’Angelo featured for Aston Villa, and at the end of the tournament, won the Golden Glove award. Awujo scored a brace for Manchester United as they won their fixture 5-2 over Everton. In the final, both Buchanan and Awujo played as Chelsea won 6-5 over United to take home the title.
