Brooklyn Courtnall has joined San Diego Wave on loan from Bay FC for the remainder of the 2026 season.

In Tuesday’s match, AFC Toronto finally won at home with a 1-0 victory over Calgary Wild. Kaylee Hunter scored the lone goal from the penalty spot and played the majority of the match, exiting at 90+2. Shelina Zadorsky and Sabrina D’Angelo both played the full match for Toronto, with D’Angelo earning the clean sheet. On Wednesday, Mimi Alidou earned her first goal in the NSL, helping Montreal to a 4-3 victory over Vancouver. Alidou played the full match.
In the reverse fixture of the earlier match, Toronto travelled to Calgary and won by a resounding 6-0 scoreline. In this match, Hunter scored two goals in 72 minutes of play. D’Angelo earned yet another clean sheet, and Zadorsky played the full match.
On Monday, Ottawa Rapid and Halifax Tides played a regular-season fixture that doubled as a quarter-final match-up in the new W Canadian Championship. Both DB Pridham and Melissa Dagenais played the full match for Ottawa as they came from behind to tie the score 2-2 in regular time. The draw earned each team one point in the NSL, but for the purposes of the Championship, they played 30 minutes of extra time to find a winner. Ottawa scored a third goal in that time, becoming the first team to advance to the W Canadian Championship semi-finals.

The NWSL once again had mid-week fixtures. Firstly, Washington Spirit won 1-0 over Utah Royals. Gabby Carle played the full match, and Élisabeth Tsé lasted the first half for Washington. For Utah, Cloé Lacasse played the full match. Then, Bay FC also narrowly lost 1-0 to Gotham FC. Sydney Collins played the full match for Bay, and Courtnall was unavailable, likely due to her impending move to the Wave.
On Friday, the North Carolina Courage rebounded from a lopsided loss last week to win 5-0 over Orlando Pride. Kailen Sheridan was in net for the Courage and earned the clean sheet; her teammate Carly Wickenheiser entered in the 53rd minute. For the Pride, Zara Chavoshi played the full match.
Julia Grosso returned to Chicago’s starting XI for the first time since her injury a few months ago. She played the first half for the Stars as they lost 2-1 to Louisville. Jordyn Huitema was unavailable due to her recent ACL injury. In the last game on Saturday, Seattle Reign defeated Bay FC 3-2. Holly Ward was an unused substitute for Seattle, and Collins played the first half for the Bay.
Washington Spirit lost their weekend fixture 1-0 to San Diego Wave. Carle once again played the full match for the Spirit, but Tsé did not make an appearance off the bench. For San Diego, Adriana Leon entered in the 83rd minute, and Courtnall did not make her debut for her new club. Then, Utah Royals crushed Portland Thorns by a score of 5-1. Lacasse played the full match for Utah and assisted three of their goals. For Portland, Jessie Fleming also went the distance. Finally, Boston Legacy and Denver Summit drew 1-1. Nichelle Prince exited at the start of stoppage time for the Legacy, and Janine Sonis scored the Summit’s goal from the spot in her 90 minutes of play. Emma Regan and Megan Reid did not feature for Denver, raising more questions about their lack of playing time.
